2020年「千羽鶴を海外へ送るつどい」でのお手紙
To our friends who love peace
75th summer coming, we have passed since the atomic bombs dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945.
More over in the world, there are 13,000 shots unclear bombs, they threaten the human beings to live. The atomic bombs destroyed the two cities in a moment, deprived the lives of 210,000 people within the year. That was the worst tragedy through the human history, still now 130,000 people have been suffering. By nuclear tests and accident of nuclear plants also extends seriously radioactivity from every corner of the world.
The people who desire no the nuclear weapons are over average 80 hope the rising generations will have never a hell of life during their life. Must not become A-bomb victims of you, your family and all the people. 「International Signature Campaign in Support of the Appeal of the Hibakusha for the Elimination of Nuclear Weapons」We have been grappling with these matters from atomic bomb victims were brought an action. We have already brought forward to UN that 10,517,872 signatures collected all in Japan. We make a stream of no the nuclear weapons with these signatures and “We human being never coexist with the nuclear weapons.” “No more A-bomb victims.”
In July-7th 2017，we adopted no the nuclear weapons treaty was elected by an over 122 countries whelming majority at treaty of no the nuclear weapons meeting of UN. The treaty says the preamble to the treaty cleared in humane, this is the only way to defend by the nuclear weapons devastations. And the things make an epoch in the first article prohibited all the nuclear weapons “development, experiment, production, manufacture, acquisition, possession, preservation” “use and intimidation of use” “transfer” “establishment, dispositions” in control area. The treaty come into effect 50 countries ratifications.2020 August 1st, ratify 40 countries put pressure for nuclear states increasingly political and moral.
We, The Great Peace March of Ehime Japan Council against Atomic & Hydrogen Bombs, have done the peace march for 62 years hoping the world peace and abolition of nuclear weapons as a bombed nation with the constitution of renunciation of war. We were driving through all of local governments and appeal to realization for no nuclear weapons. At the same time the action of sending these paper cranes as peace messengers to foreign countries is organized and 150,000 paper cranes are gathered.
One thousand cranes represent long life. It is said the cranes live a thousand years and the turtles ten thousand years. There is a child statue of A-bomb victim in Hiroshima Peace Park. Sadako Sasaki was 2 years and 8 months old when the A-bomb was dropped. She continued folding a thousand paper cranes. She died of acute leukemia at the age of 12. Cranes are full of our resolution not to bring about A-bomb victim again.
We will send them to your group. We have sent 4,788,000 cranes to 88 groups in 31 countries. We wish you to make use of them for your peace activities of anti-nuclear, anti-war anti-nuclear plant from the glass roots movement. We look forward to hearing your activity.

１９４５年８月、広島・長崎に原爆が投下されてから７５年目の夏を迎えました。
今なお世界には、１万３千発以上の核兵器が存在し、人類の生存を脅かしています。原爆は、一瞬のうちに２つの都市を破壊し、２１万人の尊い命を奪いました。人類史上例のない非人道的な被害をもたらし、現在も１３万人以上の被爆者が苦しみ続けています。また、核実験や原発事故によって世界各地に深刻な放射能被害が広がっています。
平均年令８０歳をこえた被爆者は、後世の人々が生き地獄を体験しないように、生きている間になんとしても核兵器のない世界を実現したいと切望しています。あなたとあなたの家族、全ての人々を絶対に被爆者にしてはなりません。「すみやかな核兵器廃絶を願い、核兵器を禁止し廃絶する条約を結ぶことをすべての国に求める国際署名」が、被爆者から提起され、この５年間取り組んできました。全国から集まった10,517,872筆が国連に提出されています。署名活動を通して「人類と核兵器は絶対に共存できない」「ふたたび被爆者をつくるな」という市民社会の運動が、核兵器廃絶への流れを作り出しています。
２０１７年７月７日には、核兵器禁止条約を交渉する国連会議で、核兵器禁止条約を１２２カ国の圧倒的多数で採択しました。条約は、その前文で核兵器の非人道性を告発し、核兵器による惨害を防ぐ唯一の確実な道として、核兵器廃絶の必要性を明確にしました。その上で、第１条において核兵器の「開発、実験、生産、製造、取得、保有、貯蔵」、「使用と使用の威嚇」、「譲渡」、支配地域での「設置や配備」を含むすべての行為を禁止した画期的なものです。条約は５０か国の批准で発効しますが、２０２０年８月１日現在、４０か国が批准しており、ますます核保有国に対する大きな政治的道義的な圧力となっています。
私たち原水爆禁止国民平和大行進愛媛県実行委員会は、被爆国であり、戦争放棄の憲法をもつ日本国民として、世界の平和と核兵器廃絶を願い、６２年間平和行進を続けています。今年も全自治体を訪問し、核兵器のない世界の実現を訴えて宣伝カーが町を走りました。同時に「”平和の使者”千羽鶴を海外へ送る運動」にとりくみ、今年も１５万羽以上の折り鶴がよせられています。
千羽鶴は、日本では「鶴は千年、亀は万年」と言われ、長命の象徴です。広島平和公園には「原爆の子の像」があります。２歳８ヶ月で被爆した佐々木貞子さんは、急性白血病になり、「生きたい」という願いを込めて鶴を折り続けましたが、１２歳で亡くなりました。折り鶴には、「再び被爆者をつくらない」という決意が込められています。
この千羽鶴を今年は貴団体へお送りします。これまで、世界３１カ国８８団体へ、４７８万８千羽を送っています。みなさんの草の根からの反核平和運動に、この折り鶴を役立てていただくことを心から希望します。みなさんの平和運動の様子などお知らせいただければ幸いです。
